My Approach
The hardest part of design isn't making something look right. It's getting a room full of people to agree on what problem they're actually solving. I've spent ten years doing both. I work best when I'm in the room early - before the scope is fixed and while there's still room to shape the problem. I keep the user needs in the conversation when everyone else is focused on the roadmap.

Design Process ☻
▶ I get the team aligned on what the project actually needs — through stakeholder interviews or a design sprint to surface the requirements and where people quietly disagree.
▶ I make sure we ground the work in real user research, so we're solving the right problem before anyone commits to a direction.
▶ I guide the team through ideation — the first drafts of information architecture and the flows that matter most.
▶ I keep us honest by validating designs, low or high fidelity, against what research tells us rather than opinion.
▶ We iterate on the findings, not on assumptions. (preferably)
▶ I keep design close to engineering throughout — in conversation with developers and QA early, not just at handoff.
▶ I review the work as it's built, because most design problems surface after the designer steps away.

My journey

My journey ☻
-
I studied Industrial Design, where I learned to think about user needs, ergonomics, and how technology actually fits into a product someone holds. That's where the foundations came from — conceptualisation, prototyping, designing around the person rather than the feature.
Moving into digital didn't feel like a leap. The thinking carried straight over. At Submer, a Barcelona startup building immersion cooling systems for data centres, I got to work across both worlds at once — physical hardware and the digital product around it. That overlap is still the part I find most interesting.
In my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of companies, ranging from industry giants like Orange, EA, NHS to mid-size agencies and small yet innovative startups utilizing Agile. -
In gaming, I found ways to support female players and worked with large companies on accessibility — areas that are easy to overlook and worth fighting for. During the pandemic, I worked with the NHS on getting patients to use video appointments, which took real pressure off a system that was buckling. That one mattered. People who couldn't safely leave the house could still see a doctor.
That's the kind of work I want more of. I'm drawn to science, innovation, and what AI makes possible — design that makes someone's day a little less difficult.
